Beerious Girls

Beer Me: New York Beer Authority

This past weekend my parents came to visit and in addition to bringing me some tasty Midwest brews (reviews coming soon!), I took them to a place on the Beerious Girls list of Bars To Try: the New York Beer Authority.

This decadent brew pub consists of two floors of beer nirvana.  90 taps and 100 bottles make up the excellent collection of beers to choose from.  Indecisive as always, I had a sampler flight of 4.

Great Divide Titan IPA, 7.1% ABV

This tasted like a pretty standard IPA, very hoppy with a hint of citrus.

Greenport Harbor Harbor Pale, 5.3% ABV

This beer was light and refreshing, with a slightly sweet taste.

Sixpoint The Crisp, 5.4% ABV

This was a great pilsner with a light flavor.

Goose Island Honkers Ale, 4.3% ABV

This beer looked dark but tasted very light, similar to a red ale.  It was pretty great!

All in all the Beer Authority lived up to my expectations and is a great place to grab a pint of craft.

Stay beerious,
